311 Day 2020 celebrates 30 years of 311 in Las Vegas

Written by on March 10, 2020

I’ll never forget the first time I heard the band 311 in 1993. The combination of reggae, rap, and rock was a musical delight to my ears and is still one of my favorite bands to this day. It isn’t just the music that I love, it is the entire 311 show experience. You can’t beat 311 fans! Also known as “Excitable One’s “, the only thing they want to do is dance, sing, and merrily get along. The more people who saw 311 as they toured, the more popular and loved they became. Now with a huge worldwide fanbase, 311 celebrates each March 11th for a 3-day fan appreciation concert called 311 Day. It has been taking place each March since 2000 and takes place in either New Orleans or Las Vegas.  For 2020 the event takes place at The MGM Park Theater in Las Vegas, NV  March 11, 12, and 13. As a longtime fan and attendee of almost every 311 Day to date, I have to stress how much fun this week is for us 311 fans! I have met so many incredible people all over the country thanks to 311!

311 was formed in 1990 and has been going strong with the original band lineup since then!  Having played 2,000 shows in 27 countries in 30 years, 2020 marks the band’s 30 year anniversary and to celebrate 311 has begun a tour to play in all 50 US States with the first show on February 20 and 21st at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The second state on the tour, Nevada is next with this year’s 311 Day Celebration and is sold out with the festivities beginning with The 311 Fan party tonight at Off The Record, located at 3770 South Las Vegas Blvd. Doors are at 8 pm.
